Native Woodland Trust

I have been hired as a UI Designer by the Native Woodland Trust, an NGO dedicated to preserving Ireland's remaining ancient woodlands and restoring the country's original climax ecosystem. My role in this project is to create a new logo and style guide, design and build an Android application, prototype the high-fidelity app, create a design system, conduct usability testing, and report the findings to stakeholders.

Throughout the project, I will work closely with other designers and developers to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity for the Native Woodland Trust. By creating a new logo and style guide, we aim to establish a consistent and recognizable visual representation that aligns with the organization's mission and values.

Designing and building an Android application will enable the Native Woodland Trust to reach a wider audience and effectively communicate their message. I will lead the charge in creating low-fidelity designs and transforming them into high-fidelity designs, ensuring a user-friendly and visually engaging experience for app users.

To promote consistency and efficiency in future design and development tasks, I will develop a design system that provides guidelines, components, and standards for the Android app's interface. This design system will serve as a valuable resource for the team, ensuring a unified and cohesive user experience.

Usability testing will play a crucial role in gathering insights from real users, allowing us to identify any usability issues or areas for improvement. By conducting usability testing and analyzing the data collected, we can make informed design decisions and iterate on the app's interface to enhance its usability and user satisfaction.

At the end of the project, I will prepare a comprehensive report and presentation to communicate the findings and recommendations to the stakeholders. This will provide a holistic overview of the design process, usability testing results, and the rationale behind the final design decisions.

By following a structured timeline and executing each phase of the project with precision and attention to detail, I am confident that I can deliver a visually appealing logo, an intuitive Android application, and a comprehensive design system that aligns with the goals of the Native Woodland Trust.
